Fondsfrauen is the largest German-speaking career network for the promotion and equality of women in the financial industry. With this corporate partnership, Kathrein Privatbank wants to actively inspire women for jobs and careers in the financial industry. Currently, 50% of management positions at Kathrein are held equally by women and men.
Diversity is a key success factor in the international environment
"We as Kathrein Privatbank, with our international customer structure, experience diversity as a great enrichment in our contact with our customers, as well as in our daily cooperation. We are 120 employees who speak 10 different mother tongues and we are pleased to have an equal distribution of management positions between women and men," says CEO Wilhelm Celeda, explaining the added value of diversity for Kathrein Privatbank. Flexibility is key to achieving the best possible balance between career and family. Employees returning after parental part-time leave therefore have flexible working arrangements and hours at their disposal, especially at management level.
Increasing the attractiveness of finance jobs for women
Eleonore Leder, Head of Finance &HR at Kathrein Privatbank: "Regarding the share of female applicants, we see differences depending on the field. In general, the banking & finance environment is less in demand by women, which is why we also very much support the idea and initiatives of the Fund Women, who make an important contribution here by raising awareness of the attractiveness of this career field." Kathrein Privatbank specifically promotes women through Job Enlargement and Job Enrichment. Through events, Kathrein Privatbank encourages women to become more involved with their finances, thereby also highlighting the many aspects of jobs in the financial industry. These include portfolio management and sales, as well as digitalization and sustainability in general, which offer interesting challenges along the entire value chain and are of utmost importance for banks.
