New CRO of Kathrein Privatbank: Gregor Höpler joins the board on January 1, 2026

Vienna, October 13, 2025 – The supervisory board of Kathrein Privatbank has appointed Gregor Höpler (53) as CRO on the board. Höpler brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Additionally, he has held senior positions at Raiffeisen Bank International, where he gained extensive knowledge in corporate governance, compliance, and stakeholder management. Harald Holzer, who has been with Kathrein since 1999, will retire at the end of 2025. The new CEO of Kathrein Privatbank, Stefan Neubauer, will also take on responsibility for asset management, overseeing all client-related departments.
Gregor Höpler was most recently the head of the Group Executive Office at Raiffeisen Bank International. "I am looking forward to serving as CRO at Kathrein Privatbank, one of Austria's leading private banks. My goal is to sustainably strengthen and support the bank on its growth path in a dynamically changing environment." The experienced banker brings not only extensive knowledge in with a focus on asset management, risk management, and financial and capital market regulation but also expertise in the digitization of banking processes.
