Vienna, April 2025 - Kathrein Privatbank is pleased to announce two first places at this year's Mountain View Fund Awards. Kathrein secured the prestigious first place in the Managed Futures category for the third time in a row (!). Managed futures are investments in various asset classes that can be traded long or short. Kathrein received the award in the Bond Funds Sustainability Europe category for the first time. The respective funds were recognized for their excellent risk-return ratio in their respective categories, which underlines the quality of Kathrein Privatbank's investment strategy. “These awards reaffirm our commitment to quality and innovation in asset management,” explains Wilhelm Celeda, CEO of Kathrein Privatbank. “We are particularly proud that our funds perform so well and that our clients can benefit from this.”
Awarded for managed futures and sustainability
These awards are the result of a comprehensive analysis of around 95,000 actively managed investment funds, which were analyzed using a strict evaluation system. The performance data of the last five, three and one year are included in the overall assessment. The result once again underlines the competence of Kathrein's fund managers in terms of sustainability. Both funds are managed by Harald Besser, Head of Asset Management at Kathrein Privatbank. Harald Holzer, CIO and member of the Executive Board, explains: “The success of our funds reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team. One of our key objectives is to promote sustainable investments while achieving attractive returns. These awards are proof that we are on the right track.”
The Mountain View Fund Awards are regarded as an important guide for investors in the Austrian and German fund market. They provide a platform to recognize the best funds in different investment strategies and themes and help investors make informed decisions in a complex market environment. The Mountain View Fund Awards were created to recognize outstanding achievements in fund management. Only funds that are publicly distributed in the DACH region are considered for the awards. These awards are a sign of quality and transparency in the financial market and help to strengthen investor confidence.
