Kathrein Privatbank Appoints David Schrottenbaum as Chief Investment Officer

Vienna, 14 July 2026 – Kathrein Privatbank has appointed Mag. David Schrottenbaum, CFA (39) as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head of Asset Management. David Schrottenbaum brings extensive experience in investment management, gained through a variety of roles at regional and national financial institutions. In his new position, he will be responsible for the further development and implementation of Kathrein Privatbank’s investment strategies, with the objective of ensuring sustainable value creation for both institutional and private clients.

David Schrottenbaum, a native of Vorarlberg, studied International Business Administration in Vienna and has held various positions as a portfolio manager, investment consultant and Head of Asset Management throughout his career. My goal is to align our investment strategies consistently with our clients’ needs while maintaining a balanced approach between return and risk.” David Schrottenbaum is a CFA Charterholder and a passionate sports enthusiast.
