The capital markets in the third quarter could be influenced by several factors, primarily including central bank interest rate policies and inflation developments. Investors should particularly pay attention to the decisions of the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank, as well as macroeconomic data such as employment figures and GDP growth. Inflation has proven to be persistent but is nonetheless under control. While inflation rates have significantly decreased, they still remain above 2%. The inflation target of two percent remains upheld on both sides of the Atlantic and continues to be pursued vigorously by the central banks.
